About
About githubworth
githubworth shows what your code is worth at the rates AI labs pay for it, and links you to a buyer if you want to sell.
What it does
Type a GitHub username and the site counts the code in that profile's public, original repos. It prices the count at the rates Pangea publishes and shows one number. For private repos, the private repos page does the same count in your browser with a read-only token.
Where the number comes from
The counting rules are pre.dev's published pricing script, which prices repos for Pangea. The rates are Pangea's: $100 per million tokens of code and $40 per million tokens of git history, checked October 20, 2026. The methodology page has the details.
Pangea buys private code you own that was never public, so the figure on a public profile is what that code would come to at Pangea's rates, not an offer. For private repos it's a list price before Pangea grades them.
How we get paid
If you sign up with a buyer through our link and license code, the buyer may pay us a referral fee. You pay no fee, and the rate you see is the buyer's. How we get paid.
What we keep
The username, avatar link and public code count behind each page at /u/username, and anonymous counts of how the site is used. Tokens and private repo results stay in your browser. Anyone can take a profile page down on the removal page. Privacy has the full list.
Who runs it
githubworth is a spin-off of Dataconto, which compares buyers for company records and private code. Both are run by the founder of aitrainer.work, a UX researcher with a degree in software engineering, from Italy. The legal details are in the terms.
githubworth isn't affiliated with GitHub, Pangea or pre.dev.
